Therma means hot in Greek and is named after the medicinal spring with hot water rising from the mountain that were discovered in 1934 by the Italian archaeologist Laourentsi. The beach is covered with small dark volcanic stones and the exact location with the spring water is surrounded by big rocks just like a swimming pool within the sea. Water is quite shallow and you can sit there and enjoy the benefits of a medicinal bath. Therma is ideal for treating rheumatic diseases, arthritis and gynecological problems since the hot springs water contains elements such as Potassium, Sodium, Calcium, Magnesium, Sulfur and Chlorine.
Next stop is the church of Agia Eirini. A monastery built by shepherds almost a thousand years ago. Enjoy the stunning view of the oldest rock formations in Greece and experience the wild nature along with the pure crystal water of the inaccessible side of Kos.
